The MooCrew took our cow suits on the road to attend DattoCon and IT Nation Connect. Here’s the lowdown.

Moovila at IT Nation Connect

The MooCrew had a busy fall! In October, we rustled up our MSP friends, partners, and a few singing bovines to muster in Miami for DattoCon. In November, we drove our herd to Orlando for the IT Nation roundup.

We trotted out our cow brand and some slick new features we built for Moovila Perfect Project to show to new friends and familiar members of our fold, went on some wild rides, and mangled a few innocent tunes at Karaoke.

It was great to connect with old and new faces. Here’s a recap of our fall conference adventures.

DattoCon in Miami

In early October, we rounded up the MooCrew and rolled into the Fontainebleau in Miami along with thousands of MSP professionals for Kaseya’s DattoCon where we networked, met up with partners, friends, and celebrities, and had – possibly, too much – fun.

“We had the best time meeting so many new MSPs, catching up with clients, and spending time with our favorite vendor friends,” says Moovila Senior Account Executive, Andrea McGlothin.

Even before doors opened, on pre-day, we hunkered down with the Autotask crowd to exchange thoughts. “The Autotask Community Live was big fun for us,” says Moovila’s VP of Marketing Kate Schlarf. Moovila integrates with Autotask, so this meeting turned into a bit of a nerd fest as people who already know how to use Moovila products swapped ideas and skills.

“Our first big splash in the Autotask community was a smash hit as far as the MooCrew is concerned,” says VP of Sales and Partnerships Vince Jajuga. “We are excited to continue to enhance the Autotask project module and product scheduling!  Moooooooove over Monday.com! Here come the cow stampede!”

Once the show started, we had a spectacular view of the DattoCon Deal Desk, where MSPs were negotiating deals on products and services. “We had a blast cheering for MSPs who made Deals at that Deal Desk!” says Schlarf. “We were right next to the Cash Machine.” It was also fun spotting our famous cow socks charging around in the wild as people wearing them showed up at our booth.

Our cow costumes were a hit, too. You might even see a few mavericks wearing them out in the world. One of the highlights of the show, for the entire Moovila team, was watching the brilliant actress and screenwriter Mindy Kaling on stage, giving away cow costumes to future Moovila clients.

We had fun at the after-parties, where we met so many fun people who were interested in what we are doing. “We even won one of Kaseya's social media contests for our posts and engagement,” says Schlarf.

“From rocking our cow attire to cheering on MSPs grabbing cash in the Kaseya cash booth to dancing the night away at Club LIV, it was a week to remember,” says McGlothin.

IT Nation Connect in Orlando

The next place our rampaging bovines stopped was the luxurious Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. In early November, the MooCrew joined the movers and shakers of the MSP community for three days of sessions with hundreds of exhibitors and over 4,000 attendees at IT Nation Connect

“This is one of our favorite events of the year,” says Moovila Founder and CEO Mike Psenka. Not only did we meet up with partners, vendors, friends, and new customers but we also got deep into our tools and new features, explored how AI is reshaping MSPs, and hunkered down with teams who are looking for automated solutions for managing projects.

On Day One, the MooCrew worked the floor introducing the newest enhancement to Moovila Perfect Project, the Project Hub. “It provides free, best-practice templates to help users jump start success when it comes to managing projects,” says Psenka.

Our booth was a busy and fun place from the outset. “Mirabelle, our plush cow, got lots of attention and customers were lining up to pick up our shirts and cow suits,” says Moovila Growth Marketing Specialist Colleen Baldrey. “We had a legendary time sharing our excitement around Project Hub, and convincing more than a few brave souls to wear our famous cow suits,” says McGlothin.

A few Moovila partners stopped by the booth and grabbed cow suits as well. “It is always a blast hanging out with our ConnectWise pals, partners, and prospective partners,” says Jajuga. “Next year I’ll be donning the cow suit! Do mor’ projiks!”

“I loved meeting new people and connecting with those I’ve met at conferences over the years,” agrees Moovila Account Executive Will Simons.

That fantastic first day ended with a concert by 90s legend band, the Goo Goo Dolls.

“Perfect nostalgia,” says McGlothin. “All my junior high favorites in one set, while laughing at Colleen and Will for only knowing two songs.”

On day two, we handed out Yeti tumblers to people who visited our booth, which made us very popular. And our founder and CEO Mike Psenka hosted a breakout session on “Broken Timelines: The Hidden cost for MSP Margins” where MSP leaders discussed ways that Moovila could help them improve their project timelines.

“We lead a breakout session on the profit engine hiding in MSP projects’” says Psenka, “where we discussed how accurate, automated project management can unlock real margin growth.”

The real fun happened at the end of the day, though. Universal Studios opened their doors after hours for IT Nation Attendees. The Moovila team piled onto Hagrid’s Motorcycle Adventure, took a spin on the VelociCoaster, and milled about with herds of MSPs and vendors. “The rollercoaster was wild,” says Simons.

“It’s never a dull moment with the MSP community,” says Baldrey. “These are some of the most brilliant people you will have the privilege of meeting. They have extensive knowledge when it comes to technology, yet they’re all so fun!”

“It was epic,” says McGlothlin. “Roller coasters, laughter, and maybe a mild back injury from me thinking I could still raise my hands on every turn (note to self: you’re 40 now, Andrea, keep them down!)”

The team closed the night at O’Shucks, where we sang karaoke with industry friends. “I absolutely butchered ‘America’s Sweetheart’ by Elle King,” says McGlothlin. “No regrets, but I will be picking and practicing my song in advance next time!”

“It’s always energizing to meet so many partners face-to-face, hear their stories, and feel the excitement in the community,” says Psenka. “Each year, this conference gives us fresh insight into the market. This one did not disappoint.”
